Regarding probabilistic hazard analysis, we have been entrusted to direct some of the highest-profile projects in the world. A significant part of our experience has been devoted to earthquakes, but we have the necessary skills and contacts to conduct hazard assessments stemming from other natural perils as well, including hurricanes, wind- and wave-loads, floods, volcanoes, and tornadoes.
Our sophisticated software for Seismic Hazard Assessments accounts for multiple modeling assumptions, and is the state-of-the-art for individual site assessments. This software is used internationally for calculating the national seismic hazard maps of Canada, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy, and was used in the 1999 Global Seismic Hazard Assessment Project to calculate seismic hazards on a consistent basis throughout the world.
Members of the Risk Engineering staff have written numerous research articles on PSHA and ground motion equations. We are intimately familiar with all of the latest research and methodology.
