We at Risk Engineering have a long history of studying risk as it applies to engineering problems. We are proud of our contributions to the development of risk and hazard-based technology and its application to structures and facilities exposed to natural or manmade hazards. We have an impressive resume that encompasses some of the premier, most highly-visible projects in the world. Many of these projects are crucial to our welfare, and if the risk from natural events is not properly estimated and designed for, the consequences can be devastating.

In the process of studying these high-profile projects, we have developed a substantial amount of software, much of which is available for licensing. All of our software has been extensively tested to meet strict quality assurance guidelines. We license the software to investigators and engineers who wish to conduct analyses themselves, or we use the software ourselves on a consulting basis.

We have a large number of clients who use our software for a variety of needs such as analyzing probabilistic earthquake-induced ground motions, assessing earthquake risk to single structures, analyzing earthquake and hurricane risk to a portfolio of properties, and studying structural component reliability. Many clients, however, choose to have us conduct the analysis, whereby we gather data, make expert interpretations, evaluate alternatives, run the software, and produce a comprehensive report.
